WGC imageNGVA Europe proudly announces it will showcase natural gas as a transportation fuel at the 26th World Gas Conference, WGCPARIS2015, held 1–5 June 2015. Jointly organised with NGV Global, a dedicated pavilion will highlight the rapidly growing sector of NG for transportation at the world’s major natural gas event.

With 2015 being the only time in this decade that the World Gas Conference is held in Europe, a unique opportunity has opened for the European NGV industry to be part of the dedicated NGV activities forming part of the natural gas industry’s major global gathering. The Natural & bio Gas Vehicle Association is therefore pleased its 6th International Show for 2015 will be included within the Natural Gas for Transportation Village of the 26th World Gas Conference.

The latest technology related to gas as a fuel will be presented across a surface of 2000 m2 and the natural gas vehicle industry is determined to seize this opportunity by showing the world the proven maturity of the NGV technology, which offers unique advantages both economically and in terms of sustainability. NGVA Europe along with NGV Global will also create and present the NGV seminar program on a dedicated stage located within the Natural Gas for Transportation Village at WGCPARIS2015.

Remarkably, this joint effort by NGVA Europe and NGV Global is further proof of a new chapter of close collaboration between the two associations. The recent appointment of Lennart Pilskog, Secretary General of NGVA Europe, as new Vice Chairman of NGV Global underlines this revitalised relationship, which certainly provides a good platform for Europe to strengthen the strategic and operative cooperation with a global perspective.

In addition, Pilskog points out that “the cooperation between NGVA Europe and the International Gas Union (IGU) with regard to both exhibitions and seminars is a unique opportunity for 'vehicle people' to know more about the gas industry, and for 'gas people' to learn more about the NGV industry. The power and opportunities of this cooperation shall not be underestimated. We cordially invite the whole sector to plan their presence at the most important event for our industry in 2015."

Referring to the announcement, Daniel Paccoud, Executive Director of WGCPARIS2015, said: “Within the extensive WGCPARIS2015 Conference program we already address a range of topics relevant to the natural gas vehicle sector, including natural gas vehicle’s environmental role, LNG as an alternative fuel, additional uses for natural gas, the role of renewable gas (RNG), etc. The new Natural Gas for Transportation Pavilion will be on the floor of the WGCPARIS2015 exhibition and include a seminar stage with a free to attend program providing additional education opportunities specifically targeting on-road, off-road, marine, and rail applications, while exhibitors servicing this sector will be grouped together in the village”.

With regard to the seminar offering, NGV Global Executive Director Diego Goldin explains: "The seminar program will follow the successful model implemented by NGV Global and NGV America during last year’s LNG17 Conference and exhibition in Houston, also organised by IGU. The seminars offered will be different from the main conference, and companies will also be presenting the developments and advances of their technologies related to the use of natural gas in transportation."
